Semi Long Pistachio (Badami) is one of the most desirable types of export pistachio in Iran, which is from the family of long pistachios with the brand name (Long), and is the third type of Long Pistachio after Akbari Pistachio and Ahmad Aghaei Pistachio. Semi Long Pistachio (Badami) is almond-shaped, opaque, tiny and elongated; it is larger than Fandoghi Pistachio and smaller than Ahmad Aghaei Pistachio. Semi Long Pistachio (Badami), along with Ahmad Aghaei Pistachio, is the most delicious pistachio in terms of taste. Like other Iranian pistachio types, Semi Long Pistachio (Badami) kernel is delicious, bright, and purple. Semi Long Pistachio (Badami) is produced in 28-30 and 30-32 sizes in large quantities in Iran’spistachio-rich regions.

Semi Long Pistachio’s (Badami) tree blooms earlier than other Iranian commercial pistachio types, and for this reason it bears fruit sooner.Unlike most Iranian export pistachios that are harvested in early September to mid-September, Semi Long Pistachio (Badami) is usually harvested in late August, so it is among rare ripe varieties.
